By default, English. The slug, the last part of the post URL, is made in English letters even when the post is written in Hindi or another Indian language, for example /modi-cabinet-meeting-decision/.
You can change this in two places:
English slugs are short, clean and easy to share. A Hindi slug shows in Hindi in the browser, but when it is copied it often turns into a long code like %E0%A4….
When the SEO Engine is on, it also shortens the slug to at most 6 words by default. The address of a post that is already published is never changed automatically, so old links keep working.
