Technical & Troubleshooting

My site gets little traffic — will campaigns still run on time?

They can run late unless something starts WordPress's scheduler. AI AutoPost checks your campaigns every minute through WP-Cron, but WP-Cron only runs when someone visits your site. On a new or quiet site nobody may visit for an hour, so posts come late.

How to tell: in AI AutoPost → Settings → Cron Schedule, Next Run shows overdue instead of something like in 40 secs.

How to fix it:

  1. Add a real server cron job (recommended). Your hosting panel opens wp-cron.php every minute, visitors or not. The Settings page shows the exact lines under WP-Cron not firing reliably?, already filled in with your site address.
  2. If your host only allows every 5 minutes, that also works; posts may then be up to 5 minutes late.
  3. If your site's own WP-Cron cannot run at all, for example because wp-cron.php is blocked, the plugin can ask AlgoPoint to start it remotely every minute.

To test straight away, click Run Now on a campaign; it ignores the schedule.
