How does AI AutoPost choose the featured image for each post?

Every post gets a featured image taken from the source. For each article AI AutoPost looks, in this order, for:

  1. The largest image in the feed item — when a feed offers several sizes, the biggest one is used.
  2. The article's share image (the photo shown when the page is shared on Facebook or WhatsApp) — used when the feed has no image, or when the feed image is a small thumbnail under 400 pixels wide.
  3. The first image inside the article.

The chosen photo is downloaded, saved to your Media Library and set as the featured image with ALT text. If no image is found at all, the article is skipped and the campaign moves on to the next one.

AI AutoPost does not create AI images; it only uses the photos the source provides. See Featured and article images.
