A new item is one that this campaign has not used before. AI AutoPost remembers every feed item a campaign has handled, whether it became a post or was skipped, so the same item is not taken again.
- On each run the campaign goes through its feeds in order and takes the next item that is new and passes the filters. One run makes one post.
- Items are remembered per campaign. If two campaigns use the same feed, both may pick the same story; Duplicate Stories, which compares original headlines across all campaigns and feeds, usually stops the second one.
- An item skipped for its word count is not tried again for one day.
- If the image download or the AI request fails, the same item is tried again on the next run. After 3 failed tries it is skipped. Running out of credits does not count as a failed try.
When the Log says had N items but none were new/usable, every item in the feed was already used or skipped. That is normal for feeds that update slowly: wait for new stories, or add more feeds to the campaign. See Filters - skip keywords, word limits and duplicates.
