RSS Feed Help

How do I import the full article with a CSS selector, XPath or regex?

Use your own rule when Auto-detect full article picks the wrong part of a page or misses text on a particular website.

  1. Open an article from that website in your browser, right-click the article text and choose Inspect. Find the box that holds the whole article and note its class or ID, for example .article-body or #content.
  2. In the Content Settings of the campaign, set Content extraction method to Extract by CSS selector (class or ID).
  3. Type the rule in Extraction selector / pattern and save the campaign.
  4. Test it: set New Post Status to Draft, click Run Now and compare the draft with the original through its Source link.

The same list has two more options:

  • Extract by XPath, for example //div[@itemprop="articleBody"]
  • Extract by Regex, a pattern with a capture group such as <div class="content">(.*?)</div>. The first group becomes the content.

If your rule finds nothing, AI AutoPost falls back to auto-detect. The rule is set per campaign, so it works best in a campaign whose feeds come from that one website. See RSS feeds and full article extraction.
