What should I do if AlgoPoint Connect cannot reach my website?

First press Check connection in the Connection box of your website's page in My Sites. When everything works it says that the connection works and the categories and authors are up to date; otherwise it shows the error. Common causes:

• Not reachable: check that your website opens in a browser and that algopoint-connector.php is still there. A firewall or bot protection may block AlgoPoint's server; allow requests to algopoint-connector.php.
• The website server's clock is more than 5 minutes off: ask your hosting to correct the server time.
• The connector was paired again with another code: make a new code in My Sites and enter it on the connector page.
• The pairing code is not accepted: a code works for 24 hours and only for the address you entered. With or without www is fine; another domain is not.
• This folder is not writable: allow writing (permission 755) for the connector's folder.
