Prompt Help

The AI keeps ignoring part of my prompt — why?

Usually because the prompt asks for things that cannot all be done at once, or because something else takes priority. Check these causes:

  • Conflicting rules — "write 1,500 words" and "be concise" pull in opposite directions; pick one.
  • Buried rules — put hard requirements at the start, not the end.
  • Too many rules — a short, clear list is followed more reliably than a long one. In the Prompt Builder, do not tick every option.
  • A short source — if the article is only a few lines, the AI writes a shorter post instead of adding filler. Use Auto-detect full article so it gets the full text.
  • Fact rules — requests to add quotes, figures or background that the source does not contain are not followed, because the built-in rules about facts always apply.
  • Auto Setup language — if Write every post in this language is ticked on the Auto Setup page, that language wins over the language in your prompt.

Change one thing at a time and test it with a few drafts.
