Technical & Troubleshooting

Cron Schedule shows "overdue" or "NOT SCHEDULED" — what should I do?

Both appear in AI AutoPost → Settings → Cron Schedule. A healthy site shows Status: ACTIVE (green), Frequency: Every minute and a Next Run such as in 40 secs.

Overdue next to Next Run means WP-Cron is not being started often enough, usually because the site has few visitors. Add a real server cron job that opens wp-cron.php every minute.

NOT SCHEDULED means the background task is missing:

  1. Reload the Settings page. The task is created again on the next page load.
  2. If it still says NOT SCHEDULED, deactivate and reactivate AI AutoPost in Plugins. Your campaigns are kept.
  3. If it keeps disappearing, another plugin may be clearing scheduled events. A cron or "performance" plugin is often the cause.

After a plugin update the task is created again automatically if it went missing. To test right away, use Run All Campaigns Now under Manual Run; every live campaign that is due runs at once.
