I forgot the password of the connector page
Sign in at algopointai.com, open My Sites and open your website. In the Connection box, open Change the password of the connector page, type the new password twice and press Change password. The old password is not needed. Browsers still signed in on the connector page are signed out.
Or press Open connector page: you arrive on the connector page already signed in, and the box Set a new password does not ask for the old one. The link works once and for 10 minutes.
Connector version 0.3.0 or older does not have this yet: download the connector again from your website's page in My Sites (Download it) and upload it over algopoint-connector.php (keep algopoint-connect-data.php: it holds your settings), then change the password.
The pairing code is not accepted
- A code works for 24 hours and only for the website address you entered in My Sites. Press Make a new code.
- Open the connector at the same address you entered:
https://yournews.com/algopoint-connector.phpandhttps://www.yournews.com/...both work; another domain does not.
"The database settings of this website were not found"
Enter the database host, name, user and password on the connector page. Your hosting control panel (cPanel, Hostinger, DirectAdmin) shows them under MySQL Databases.
"This folder is not writable"
The connector saves its settings in algopoint-connect-data.php next to itself. Allow writing for that folder (permission 755) in your hosting file manager.
My Sites shows "Not reachable"
- Check that your website opens in a browser and that
algopoint-connector.phpis still there. - A firewall or "bot protection" may block AlgoPoint's server. Allow requests to
algopoint-connector.php. - "The website server's clock is more than 5 minutes off": ask your hosting to correct the server time.
- "The connector was paired again with another code": make a new code in My Sites and enter it on the connector page.
"Setting up your CMS"
The connector does not know your website's CMS yet. Our team sets up your news tables, usually within one working day. Nothing to do on your side.
Campaigns run but post nothing
Open the campaign under News campaigns: the last line says why, for example:

Posts arrive as drafts although I chose Published
Test posts are always drafts. A campaign post is a draft when the logo check was not sure about its picture, so an editor can look at it first.
Update the connector
When a newer connector is ready, the connector page shows Update available. Sign in there and press Update. Your settings and posts are kept. If your hosting does not allow it, download the file again from My Sites and upload it over the old one.
