The SEO box and sidebar in the post editor

See the SEO score of any post, edit its SEO title, description and keyword, and use Re-analyse and Auto Fix.

Updated 1 view

When you open a post, the AI AutoPost SEO panel shows its SEO score and data. Where you find it depends on your editor (see Post editor choice).

In the classic editor

The AI AutoPost SEO box is under the article. AI AutoPost posts open in the classic editor by default, so the article, the Publish box and the SEO box are on one screen.

In the block editor

  • Click the chart icon in the top toolbar to open the AI AutoPost SEO sidebar with all fields.
  • In the Post tab of the settings sidebar, a small AI AutoPost SEO panel shows the score and an Open SEO panel button.

What the panel shows

  • The score (0–100) with Excellent, Good, Needs improvement or Poor.
  • SEO title, Meta description (with a character count), Primary keyword.
  • Canonical URL (Empty = this post's own URL), Robots and Schema type.
  • Keywords: Secondary, Related, Long-tail and Entities.
  • SEO checks – every check with its result.
  • Previews – Google search result, Facebook / WhatsApp and X (Twitter) card.
  • Automatic fixes that were applied, and Discover readiness.

The buttons

  • Re-analyse – checks the post again and updates the score.
  • Auto Fix SEO – applies safe fixes (missing or too long SEO title or description, slug of an unpublished post, ALT text, tags, headings, internal links). It never changes facts. Save the post first, because Auto Fix works on the saved article.

Editing values

  • Your changes save automatically (you see Saving… then Saved).
  • Values you type are kept as your own values. AI AutoPost will not overwrite them.
  • To let AI AutoPost fill a field again, empty the field.
  • The analysis runs again every time you save the post. If you changed the text since, the panel says The score is for the last saved version.

New posts

On a new, empty post the panel appears after the first save. Before that there is nothing to analyse.

Which posts have the panel

By default every post has it. To show it only on AI AutoPost posts, turn off Show the SEO panel on every post in SEO Settings → Post-level SEO.

Tip: If you use Yoast or Rank Math, your edits here are also written into their fields. See Working with Yoast, Rank Math and other SEO plugins.
