AI AutoPost posts are clean HTML, not blocks. They are easiest to check and edit in the classic editor, where the article, the Publish box and the AI AutoPost SEO box are all on one screen.
The setting
Go to AI AutoPost → Settings and find the box Post Editor. Choose one option:
- Posts created by AI AutoPost open in the classic editor (default) – only posts made by a campaign open in the classic editor. Your own posts open in the block editor as usual.
- All posts open in the classic editor – every post opens in the classic editor.
- WordPress default (block editor) – every post opens in the block editor (Gutenberg).
Click Save Editor Setting.
Nothing changes in the content of your posts. Only the editing screen is different.
If the Classic Editor plugin is installed
If the Classic Editor plugin is active on your site, it decides which editor opens. The box then says The Classic Editor plugin is active and decides which editor opens (Settings › Writing). Change the choice in Settings → Writing in WordPress.
Working in each editor
Classic editor:
- The AI AutoPost SEO box is under the article.
- Logo Protection notices appear at the top of the screen.
Block editor:
- Click the chart icon in the top toolbar to open the AI AutoPost SEO sidebar.
- A small score panel is in the Post tab of the right sidebar.
- Logo Protection notices appear as editor notices at the top.
See The SEO box and sidebar in the post editor for what the SEO panel does.
Which one should I use?
- For checking and publishing AI AutoPost posts quickly, keep the default.
- If your team prefers blocks for everything, choose WordPress default (block editor). All features still work.
Tip: If you open an AI AutoPost post in the block editor, WordPress may show the text in one Classic block. That is normal. You can click Convert to blocks if you want.
