SEO Settings

Open AI AutoPost → SEO Settings. The top line shows what was Detected: other SEO plugins, who prints the Head tags, and your Sitemaps. The settings are in tabs on the left. Click Save SEO settings when you are done.

The defaults are good for most news sites. These are the tabs you may want to check.

General SEO

• Automatic SEO optimisation for every post created by AI AutoPost – the main switch.
• SEO output mode – Hybrid (recommended) uses an active SEO plugin's fields and prints our own tags only when no SEO plugin is active. See Working with Yoast, Rank Math and other SEO plugins.
• Our head tags apply to – posts created by AI AutoPost, or all posts.

Meta Tags

• Generate keywords, SEO title and meta description in the same AI request as the article (no extra credit) – on.
• SEO title: maximum characters – 60.
• Meta description – 110 to 160 characters.
• Append the site name to the browser title and Title separator.

Keywords and Content SEO

• Number of Secondary, Related and Long-tail keywords.
• Recommended minimum words (250) and when content counts as thin, or a paragraph or sentence as too long.

URL / Permalink

• Create a short SEO slug for new posts, Slug: maximum words (6), Leave out stop words. Published URLs are never changed automatically.

Robots, Schema, Open Graph, Social Media

• Index or noindex for new posts, max-image-preview (large).
• Article type: NewsArticle, Article or BlogPosting; breadcrumbs; Publisher name and Publisher logo URL.
• Open Graph fallback image, Facebook App ID, X card type and site @username.

Image SEO, Internal Linking, External Linking

• ALT, title, caption, description and SEO file names for images.
• Maximum internal links per post (3), an "Also read" list, link to any post or the same category.
• rel for external links (nofollow by default) and new tab.

News SEO, Google Discover, Sitemap, Indexing

SEO Score and Automatic SEO Fixes

• Minimum SEO score (70) and If the score is below the minimum…: Publish with a warning or Hold as Pending Review.
• Fix what can be fixed safely before publishing (never facts).

Advanced / Technical

• Compare new posts with existing posts before publishing, with title (85%) and content (60%) similarity limits.
• When a duplicate is found: Allow publication (warning), Hold as Pending Review, Block publication (skip the item) or Rewrite again (1 extra AI credit).
• Maximum tags per post (5).
• Also assign existing categories that match the article topic (off).
• Keep SEO logs for (days) (180).

Post-level SEO

• Show the SEO panel on every post (not only AI AutoPost posts) – on.
