Templates and tags

Build post titles and articles from template tags like [original_title] and [matched_content], and add AI with [gpt] prompts.

Updated 1 view

Every campaign has a Post Template box with two fields:

  • Post Title Template – default [original_title].
  • Post Content Template – default [matched_content].

With these defaults, the post uses the source headline and article as they are, without AI.

Available tags

  • [original_title] – the headline from the feed.
  • [matched_content] – the article text (the full article if you use full article extraction).
  • [source_link] – the web address of the original article.
  • [publish_date] – the date of the feed item.
  • [author] – the author named in the feed.
  • [cats] – the feed item's own categories.
  • [post_title] – the final title of your post (use it in the content template).

The AI tag

Put an instruction between [gpt] and [/gpt]. When the post is created, the whole block is replaced by the AI's answer. Examples shown in the plugin:

  • [gpt]Rewrite this title: [original_title][/gpt]
  • [gpt]Summarize in 200 words: [matched_content][/gpt]
  • [gpt]Write an article about: [original_title][/gpt]

A good title template:

[gpt]Rewrite this news headline in Hindi in under 70 characters. Keep names and facts exact. Reply with the headline only: [original_title][/gpt]

How AI templates are processed

  1. The tags are filled in with the article's data.
  2. All [gpt] blocks of one post (title and content) go to the AI in one request with the SEO request. This uses 1 credit.
  3. If the AI request fails, the post is not created. Raw prompt text is never published.
  4. If Auto Setup or the Prompt Builder sets a language, the headline is written in that language too, even if your title template has no [gpt].

Mixing text and tags

You can add your own text around tags, for example:

[gpt]…your prompt…[/gpt] followed by <p>Read the original story: [source_link]</p>

For a source link, the campaign option Append source attribution at the end of posts is easier. See RSS feeds and full article extraction.

Tip: The Prompt Builder writes a complete, tested content prompt for you. See The Prompt Builder. Write your own [gpt] prompt only if you need something special.
