Posts held for logo review

How to find posts held by Logo Protection, check the flagged photo and publish or fix them.

Updated 1 view

When Logo Protection holds a post, it is saved as Pending Review. Nothing goes live until you decide. (If your campaign saves posts as Draft, a held post stays a draft and gets the same label.)

Find held posts

  1. Go to Posts → All Posts.
  2. Click Pending at the top.
  3. Held posts show a label after the title:
    • Logo hold – a known company logo was found.
    • Logo review – a logo is possible, or the check could not finish.

Check the post

Open the post with Edit. A yellow notice at the top explains why it was held, for example:

Held by Logo Protection: Example News logo detected (confidence 0.91). It was not published automatically — check the images, then publish it yourself if it is fine.

or

Needs a manual review (Logo Protection): Logo check service could not be reached …

If there is a link Open the flagged image, click it to see the photo that was flagged.

Decide what to do

The photo really has a logo:

  1. Remove the featured image (Remove featured image in the post sidebar) and set another photo you have the right to use, or
  2. Remove the flagged photo from the article text.
  3. Click Publish.

The photo is fine (no logo):

  • Simply click Publish.

You do not want the post:

  • Move it to the Trash.

Once a held post is published, the notice and the label disappear.

A Logo review label can also mean the check could not finish, for example the AlgoPoint server could not be reached or an image could not be downloaded. In that case the photo is probably fine. Look at the images and publish.

Too many held posts?

  • Check which feed the held posts come from (the Source link at the end of the post).
  • Replace feeds whose photos usually carry channel logos.
  • If many posts say the service could not be reached, check that your server can connect to algopointai.com, or contact support. See Contacting support.

Tip: Check the Pending list once or twice a day so good stories do not wait too long.
