Logo Protection

Logo Protection checks every photo for company logos before a post is created and holds matching posts for your review.

Updated 1 view

News photos often carry the logo or watermark of a TV channel or news website. Publishing such a photo on your site can cause copyright trouble. Logo Protection helps you avoid this.

What it checks

For every article, before the post is created:

  • the featured image, and
  • up to 5 images inside the article.

The images are sent to the AlgoPoint server and compared with a list of known company logos using image matching. This is not AI, so it uses no credits. Large photos are scaled down before sending.

Logo Protection is always on. It needs an active licence.

The three results

  • PUBLISH – no known logo found. The post is created normally with your chosen status.
  • HOLD – a known logo was found. The post is saved as Pending Review.
  • MANUAL_REVIEW – maybe a logo, or the check could not finish. The post is also saved as Pending Review.

A held post is never published automatically.

Safe by design

If anything stops a complete check, the post is held. For example:

  • an image in the article could not be downloaded,
  • the logo check service could not be reached,
  • the answer was not clear.

Also, any image in the article that was not part of the check (for example a gallery beyond the limit) is removed from the post, so no unchecked image goes live.

What you see in the Log

Lines start with [LOGO] and [CAMPAIGN], for example:

  • [LOGO] Campaign #4: no configured company logo detected
  • [LOGO] Campaign #4: … detected and confidence 0.87
  • [CAMPAIGN] Campaign #4: status changed to HOLD — post will be saved as Pending Review

Reduce held posts

  • Choose feeds whose photos have no logos. The tested feeds in Auto Setup were picked for this.
  • If one feed often gets held, replace it in the campaign.
